Nursery Apprentice

Main duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe and secure environment for children.

Plan appropriate activities for children

Playing and interacting with children.

Working alongside an outstanding team to deliver high quality education. 

Be responsible or a group of key children (initially mentor will work with you on this to support understanding and development)

Understanding the importance of health, hygiene and minimising risks for children.

Effectively promote the safeguarding of children within the nursery

Attendance at monthly staff meeting

Work alongside training provider to complete Level 2 qualification

Desired skills:

Effective communication with children and adults

Friendly caring nature

Team work

Ability to listen to instruction and carry out tasks

Be aware of the EYFS

Patience

Friendly and Hardworking

Desired Qualifications:

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English ( grade C / 4) would be beneficial

Future prospects: Potential to gain full time employment and progress onto Level 3 qualification
